Composition

Contains per ml oral solution:
Norfloxacin …………………200 mg

Description

Norfloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic with bactericidal activity mainly against gram-negative bacteria, as well as Mycoplasma spp.

Indications

Gastrointestinal and respiratory infections in poultry caused by microorganisms susceptible to norfloxacin, such as Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD), colibacillosis, Fowl Cholera, staphylococcal and streptococcal infections.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to quinolones, severe hepatic or renal impairment.

Dosage and administration

For oral administration in drinking water.
Recommended dose – 25 ml per 100 litres of water continuously for 3 – 5 days.
If required, treatment may be repeated after 5 days. Shake well before use. Medicated water should be used immediately and refreshed every 24 hours for the duration of the treatment.

Side effects

Gastrointestinal disturbances ,excitation.

It is recommended that the susceptibility of the causative microorganisms is established before treatment is commenced.
Severely sick animals have altered drinking patterns and may need to be medicated parenterally.
Dosage may need to be adjusted to reflect herd or flock water consumption.

Meat, offal and eggs: 4 days.

Store dark and below 25 ံC. Do not freeze.
