Composition

Contains per ml oral solution:
Tilmicosin (as phosphate) ……………………………250 mg

Description

Tilmicosin is a broad-spectrum, semi-synthetic antibiotic synthesized from tylosin with bacterics activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, predominantly Mycoplasma ,Pasteurella and Haemophilus spp.

Indications

Respiratory infections in calves, poultry and swine, caused by microorganisms susceptible to tilmicosin.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to tilmicosin.Animals intended for breeding purposes. Animals with active micro digestion.

Dosage and administration

For oral administration in drinking water or (artificial) milk.
Calves – 1 ml per 20 kg body weight, administered twice daily in (artificial) milk for 3-5 days.
Poultry – 300 ml per 1000 litres of water (75 ppm) continuously for 3 days.
Swine – 800 ml per 1000 litres of water (200 ppm) continuously for 5 days.
Shake well before use. Medicated water or milk should be used immediately and refreshed every hours for the duration of the treatment. Correct dosage should be based on daily water consumption.

Side effects

Transient decrease in water of (artificial) milk intake can occur.

It is recommended that the susceptibility of the causative microorganisms is established before treatment is started.
Use in pregnant or lactating animals only after risk/benefit assessment by a veterinarian.
Severely sick animals have altered drinking patterns and may need to be medicated parenterally.

Meat and offal: 42 days (calves), 12 days (broilers), 19 days (turkeys), 14 days (swine). Do not use in layers producing eggs for human consumption.

Store dark and below 25 ံC. Do not freeze.
